When our winemaker was developing this special 2009 vintage Cabernet Sauvignon, he hand-selected only the best grapes from some of our best vineyard sources, used our best barrels and listened to the “spirit” of those that came before him. This limited-edition 50th Anniversary wine harkens back to our half-century heritage and acknowledges our exciting future.
Tasting Notes
The wine is handcrafted from three distinct vineyards in Columbia Valley. Grapes from each of these vineyards bring a different nuance to the wine’s final blend. Sagemoor vineyard lends richness, Red Willow structure, and Destiny Ridge, a silkiness.
This special wine is deep, entrancing, and full of complex layers. The flavors develop as you sip and savor. Enjoy flavors of marionberry, black cherry, black currant, nutmeg, clove, dark chocolate, anise, and lavender. The wine is full-bodied with a plush mouthfeel, smooth texture, and a lingering finish. More than two years of barrel-aging.
Needless to say, it is an intense wine that will age beautifully if cellared. Only 522 cases were produced.
