2010 Opal White Blend
The first white wine in the Stone Cutter Series, Opal is a Bordeaux blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc.
Our 2010 Opal is bursting with aromas of lemon peel, lemon grass, and melons, with hints of herbs followed by a touch of vanilla. On the palate are flavors of citrus with hints of Bosc pear and an undertone of fig, ending with a long, soft finish with flavors of minerals and lemon drop candies.
Food Pairing Recommendations
Pair the 2010 Opal with most seafood, especially lobster, crab, or other shellfish. Other good choices would be baked chicken or oven-roasted pork chops. Also pairs well with soft, textured cheeses or aged cheeses such as English Gouda.
Columbia Winery plans to release other wines in this series, all exclusive to our Cellar Club and offered for sale only in our Cellar Club Room.
