Wyckoff Chardonnay

	Chardonnay, Wyckoff Vineyard Dry wine. This wine is 100% barrel fermented and has undergone maolactic fermentation which helps lower the total acidity. The barrel fermentation will make it darker with higher extract as the fermenting flavors are contained in the small 59 gallon space. This also results in a more caramel flavor and less crisp tropical nuances. Harvest A small crop of high quality fruit was hand harvested and whole cluster pressed. The 25 year old vines ripened evenly and encouraged the fruit to ripen with perfect balance, acidity and flavor. Tasting Notes Flinty aromatics with notes of cinnamon and mint. Bright fruit flavors of apple with lemon zest and a clean finish that leaves hints of fine minerals and a touch of oak. Some of the vines have reached 30 years of age.
