Columbia Winery only produces ice wine in the years that our vineyards get a hard freeze so that the grapes go from vine to press still frozen. This typically occurs when the temperature gets between 14 to 18 degrees Fahrenheit. In 2005 (our inaugural vintage) and 2006, we picked on the same date October 31.
Light amber in color. On the nose, spice with a touch of Lychee nut. On the palate, sweet and flavorful in the initial mouth sensation. Lots of apricot and hints of spice, Lychee nut, and shades of peach nectar.
